The Steel family of Collingwood Park are just about to try and do some aquaponics.
Literally just found out about it after thinking of how to squeeze production out of our small available space. Three little ones to feed and want to show them how stuff is grown and makes it to the plate.
So online we went and after a bit of research have decided on giving it a go.
I come from a farm as a kid so have a bit of experience growing things, just not fish so advice on what is good for SE Q would be great. Will probably start a thread in the my system section once I have it figured. I have some hair brained ideas to try out and most of the components I will need. Couple of pumps, a thousand litre tank (wife wouldn't let me use the spa) a bit of pipe and a bath tub so maybe get something up and running in the next few weeks.
If there is anyone in the area (Ipswich or Brisbane) then I would love to come over with a beer to pick you brain....
