Hi, Can we do it in the UK climate, its all new to us but sounds great.

Hi folks, my name is Alistair (Al) My partner Val and I have been living as low an impact life as possible for several years now.
Mostly due to the cost of setting up and my ill health we haven't done anything particularly noteworthy although we get a seizable proportion of our electricity from solar and we use a tiny fraction of the UK average.

We have been growing simple fruit and veg in a greenhouse for a while now and whilst looking at possible ways to maximise yield and consistency in a small space I came across this.

I am keen on technology, the greener the better, and this approach in general looks as though it may offer an attainable way to grow 'organically' on a very small scale.

I have loads of questions and, I think, some ideas but I guess that is for the forums.

We are very much looking forward to learning and sharing the experience.
I am an engineer, mechanical and electrical, I also program computers and industrial PLC's.
I am happy to help with any technical questions if I can although right now I know nothing about the specifics of this cultivation method.

Looking forward to the journey ...
    Al and Val

    G'day Al and Val,

    Welcome to APHQ.

I'm sure we can make good use of your engineering knowledge......sooner or later. In the meantime, we're happy to respond to any questions or ideas that you may have.
