So i've had a fulling working hydroponic system running for a while now and was thinking about creating a new system but using fish this time instead.
So what i wanted to know is will a NFT system be able to clean the fish water without having the gravel beds?
ATM i have a simple 4 pipes about 1.5m long running at a constant steam that sits just below the pots which are full of expanded clay balls. this allows the roots to grow down and do there thing. But what im concerned is that there will be no area for the bacteria to do its work on the ammonia, will this be the case? and if so how do i go about fixing it without switching to a flood and drain bed.
Cheers Stefan
