Ducks in the House

Well our order for Welsh Harlequins arrived today. No DOA's in the box. At 3days old they are eating machines!

I also have to commend the young lady at the post office. She offered to provide them water which I agreed but only 2oz or so. She called back later saying they had consumed it. Told her not to provide any more for at least an hour at which time I will be there to pick them up. My biggest problem upon arriving was getting them from her, she was already in love.

I have 12 ducks and 3 geese and they never stop eating. I don't care how much food you offer them they will not stop eating.

I had Pekins when I was a kid and they would never stop eating. Going with a smaller breed this time, hopefully I can save a little on the feed bill.

Mine walk from the chicken coupe down to the 1 acre pond every morning and then come back to the chicken coupe just before dark. They just eat a little feed in the evening, they forage the rest all day in the pond.
