No store. There is a lady that delivers bait fish to local stores and she also has tilapia. Been getting minnows from here for a long while now, but just found out she sold tilapia last week.

So far only the one that was almost dead when we bought them has died. The rest are swimming around great. They are not going after the food like I thought they would. They may just need some time to get used to everything.

if they are not slamming the food, something is wrong. probably water parameters, and dirty filter system, or something else water wise..

It looks like they are eating off the bottom, but not coming up to eat. Hard to tell for sure though in 6 feet of water.

The minnows and catfish are eating.

    Helo,

when a mother Tilapia releases the fry, they swim to the surface and school up in the corners or protected areas, and are real easy to net out with a 6"x6" net, to put in the buckets......

i go out to check on things and feed several times a day, and any time i see fry, i net them out asap...... it seems that the mothers like to release them in the late afternoon, as that is when i find the most fry schooled up at the surface

I have an idea of getting some of the smaller tilapia from my local Asian supermarket.
