    Blue Mountains

In the words of the great Pink Floyd......Is there anybody out there?

Would love to meet with other locals keen on self supply or trade of daily requirements.

    Hi Moby,

    Welcome to APHQ.

Someone from NSW will wander by shortly. In the meantime, feel free to describe what you're doing........or planning to do.

    Talking Re: Blue Mountains

    Ok,

First off we have eight chooks and one rooster for eggs and meat. Excess eggs are sold to help pay for further Microponic purchases.

Next are the Jap Quail. We have three at around three weeks old (thankyou Salman). These guys are for eggs and meat.

Then comes our two small aquaponics systems. Both run with Goldfish. One is and old esky and a sixty litre tank. The second is a backyard water feature with two grow beds and a bath tub fish tank.

Looking to purchase a large balcony kit soon.

Have made enquiries about a breeding pair of Muscovies for meat and eggs.

Today I ordered a BSF biopod from Murray to help feed them all.

Between those guys, the lovely wife and full time work I manage to keep busy.

    Hi Moby,

Sounds like you're off to a promising start.

You should have fun with the quail......they are amazing birds. Extend my regards to Salman.....I haven't heard much from him lately.

    Hi there Moby,

For a good couple of days after reading your first post I was singing Pink Floyd's "Comfortably Numb". As in response to your question - "Or are we all just comfortably numb?"

    Hi all,

I changed my Ap system this morning so I thought it time to show off some pics.

First three are the latest system, bathtub of goldfish pumped to duckweed pond, drained to bathtub growbed drained back to fishtank. I need a couple more bathtubs for growbeds....never ending story.

    Next is the new rooster!

    Then some of his girlfriends.

    Happy times.

    Ok,

I could'nt fit all the pics in.

Next are the three quails, pretty sure we have one male two females.

    The half completed chook pen.

Last of all the new Biopod. Two days in action and keenly awaiting some BSF activity.

    Can you feel the excitment?
