Solar panel on a NFT system

We are novice hydroponic growers and only been at it for a few weeks. We have built our own little hydroponic NFT system using 2 NFT channels and a 200ltr barrel. We both work away and currently our submersible pump is running on power. We are wishing to go solar and also add another 1 maybe two channels and use a solar panel. My question is, where in Perth can I find a solar panel, we have been to Battery World and they are charging ridiculous prices and have also gone to JayCar but the sales guys don’t have a clue. Anyone successfully using solar for their pumps?

We are investigating changing our hydro over to aquaponics. Has anyone used an NFT system in aquaponics?

Hi Renee, nft works very well in Aquaponics. Couple things, you must have a solids filter pre nft or ur trays will clog. Leads to a lotta problems u don't want. U will also need airstones at various points to keep the oxygen up to ur plant roots.
