I did a lots of crawfishing here in Cajun land but no one around here has ever heard of aquaponics. At one time I had 2 crawfishing boats and over 2000 traps. Maybe we'll get to do some aquaponics crawfishing and eat a good "Swamp Dust" gumbo. I see that some of you are into raising ducks, chickens, etc. That's right long my lines also. I used to have over 250 ducks, 50 chickens, peacocks, guineas, goats, you name it. Glad to be a member of the forum.

The Aussies call crayfish "yabbies" and they are occasionally used in AP systems, with and without fish. Also, chickens are "chooks" and there will be a few others you'll catch onto.

Maybe you can share some Cajun recipes, I know you know how to cook fish and crawdads. Me I am just hillbilly from West Virginia or at least when I was a kid, then the family moved to Florida. I went to college in California and then stayed there for the next 20 years, got fed up with life in the states and moved to Asia. At any rate welcome to the forum glad to have you..
