    Greetings from south Florida

Thanks in advance to all who precede me here, I look forward to immersing myself in all things aquaponics and hopefully sharing as I learn. A friend sent me the barrelponics article a year or so ago and I haven't stopped thinking about it. I set up a baby system that has been running for a little over two months now and am designing a larger system based on the Rubbermaid 300 gal. stock tank. The baby system was designed around a 20 gal. tub an a disposable concrete mixing tray with the smallest pump I could find. All together less than $50 from the big box store. I started with a mesclun mix and rainbow chard which are both doing well and taste delicious. I have recently started basil, radishes, carrots, and tomatoes. All is well except that aphids have wiped out my radish sprouts. I hope to begin work on a larger system soon so I can really start learning. Again thank you all.
