So over the Christmas break I bought myself a new toy, the Hagen Master Test Kit for $100 CDN.

In addition to the pH, ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, and sometime GH/KH that AP people normally test for, this kit also does iron, phosphate, and calcium. It kind of reminds me of the chemistry kit I had when I was a kid in my childish excitement in playing with it. I read over all the procedures last night, but have yet to test anything out. Everything is growing great for me right now so I don't feel like I need to test if I have a nutrient deficiency, but it's cool to know that I can.
No if only I can get my work to buy me a DO meter I'd be set. Personally, and professionally I guess, I find the water chemistry aspect of aquaponics the most interesting part.
