Ladies and Gentlemen,
My apologies for not being here for several months. The problem is I only raise fish in my RAS' in the winter and mothball them (not literally of course) the rest of the year. During the warm months of the year I'm really busy with the outdoor ponds and my fish taxidermy business. I'm also concerned humidity could get too high in the walk in basement during the summer, which is the other part of the reason I shut down the RAS' then. It's not a problem during the winter when the air is drier.
I'm excited that I will be setting up up to two high schools with a RA systems complete with feed and fish this winter with the only catch I get the fish back at the end of the school year to plant in ponds. It's a win/win as the kids get to learn about aquaculture specifically RAS', and I can increase production more than my limited floor space at home. I'm also committed as my state aquaculture president to get the word out that fish farming is a possibility.
I'll keep everyone posted with pictures.
