Hi,
The New York Post described Joel Salatin as the "high priest of pasture."
His work with pastured poultry, pigs and cattle has led to him being described as "arguably the most influential farmer in the US."
His visit to Queensland, a bit over a week ago, caused me to reflect on how his farming methods could be reconciled with aquaculture/aquaponics.
What Salatin espouses rests very comfortably within the scope of Microponics.
While I see an aquaculture system as central to Microponics (because all farmed organisms require water), integrating other bird and animal species into a food production system (the way that Salatin proposes with chicken, pigs and cattle), is I believe the way of the future.
Any one go to listen to his presentation at Beerwah recently?
Gary
