This is my project in Candaba Pampanga. We are promoting Sweet sorghum as a source for Bio fuels. Sweet Sorghum is a sugar can like crop with grains on top. Its like a mixture of corn and sugarcane. We crush it and ferment it. Then distill the fermented beer to produce ethanol at 96.6%. We did trials on a motorcycle. I'll post the video soon. For now we sell it as a base for perfume.

Agriculture is the real key to success in the Philippines, not becoming an OFW as we all know it doesn't work out the it is planned. However I am stuck to this for now.. But you do make me proud Pare.

hehe... even us foreigners are looking towards agriculture in the Philippines.. so im surprised not more pinoys take up the improvement of it, and in the process improve their lives....

Congrats on your test, but the motorbike sounded a little strange when it appeared he was trying to go faster.

It was an unmodified motorbike. You have to change the fuel injector or carburetor inlet diameter to a larger size to achieve the correct fuel to air ratio. It was just a test to see if the motor can take the fuel unmodified. Of course an unmodified engine will be inefficient and sound like that. We did some test with different ratio of ethanol to gasoline and see what the minimum ratio the engine can run on unmodified.

Have you done any calculations to determine how much sweet sorghum is required to produce a given amount of alcohol?
