    Root veg

    I know a few years ago that different vege were discussed.
    I recently heard that potatos are being grown sounds like thru a airoponics style spray system.
    Anyone doing this? How is it being done? What about other root vege?

    The only root veg I have had any joy with ar Radishes. THey are planted in Coco coir and watered with fish tank water. THey grow quite well. My carrots on the other hand are pathetic.

    I heard that in Java that someone is growing potatoes in a hydroponics style system using a spray. I'll try and find out more info.

    In clay you can grow potatoes.

    Yep, Hydroton, potatoes, beetroot, radishes.

    Outback, did you have them flooding and draining as part of the rest of your system ?

    The funny thing is, before fixing the siphons up last weekend, they spent more time flooded rather then drained. Running the same as the rest of the system is at the moment, 12 hours of pump on (flood and drain siphons), 12 hours off.
