Tilapia Fry, fingerlings, and larger fish for sell in DFW area

    Hi All,

I have finely received my Aquaculture License and the Exotic Species Permit, and can now sell Live Mozambique Tilapia fingerling fish to other AP'ers in Texas, to grow out in their systems, and sell fish Fresh out of the tank placed on ice to eat.

Mozambique Tilapia, is the only Tilapia Species that does not require a Exotic Species Permit in the state of Texas to Possess them. You have to have the Exotic Species Permit to be able to sell them to other PPL, or Businesses, Dead or Alive.

I have a limited number of .75in to 6in or so fish to sell to PPL with Aquaponic Systems in the Dallas, Ft Worth area, with on site pickup only.......

For live fish, you need to bring one or more 5 gal buckets with lid, and a small Aquarium aerator with air stones, run from a small inverter from the car cigarette lighter plug in, so they can make it home alive. The .75 to 1.5in fish might could make it home with out the aerator, depending on how many you get, and how far you got to go, but the bigger fish will need it...!!

I have a very limited number of 10oz to 16oz fish that are eating size, and you need to bring a cooler with Ice to take them home

PM me for the prices and my address

    Thanks
    RS

Hey, congrats on getting your Aqua license & permit RS..that'll be handy for local APers your way.

Was it a difficult & time consuming process you had to go through for licensing?

    Cheers,
    Shane.

    Shane,

It was not that difficult, took some time to fill out all the paper work, and a couple of calls to answer some questions, then wait on the paper work to be approved and sent back, so I could send in the next set of paper work, then spent the better part of a afternoon reading and printing out the Exotic Species rules and regulations as required to get the permit........

This is a 8.7oz Male Mozambique Tilapia that escaped from the Happa net grow out cage, that i caught with a small fish hook and pole, out of the main tank yesterday.
After weighing him, he went into the outside IBC fish tank, to grow out with the other males.......

This is not even close to the biggest Tilapia that I have, but will give you a good idea of what these Mozambique's look like, and was handy to take a pic of after i caught him......
