    Fizzy Lemon drink

Here is a simple way to make a refreshing lemon drink. I bottle mine in the PET bottles from the home brew section in K Mart. The only trouble I find is that I need to chill down the bottles before opening otherwise they expel the contents violently.

    Fizzy Lemon Soft Drink
Requirement: 10 litre plastic bucket with lid
Peel skin from 6 large lemons with a potato peeler and place in a 10 litre plastic bucket.
Cut lemons in half and squeeze juice and pips into bucket. Discard rest of lemons.
Add 1.36 kg of sugar or 1.25 kg for a sharper taste.
Add 15 ml of white vinegar, 9 litres of water and cover with lid.
Stir a couple of times each day for 8 – 10 days until the peel and pips float to the top.
Skin of, then bottle liquid through a strainer. Use screw top bottles.
Ready for drinking in about 12 days.
Careful on opening bottles, reacts like champagne.

    Enjoy

There will be a slight alcoholic content say 1.5% or less.

Just wondering what to do with my excess lemons - thanks. Also been wondering about making a 'Two Dogs' equivalent. This should be an interesting start.
