Thread: Aquaponics at work...or would that be on the job?

Talking Aquaponics at work...or would that be on the job?

So where I work we have a cubicle, which gives us a decent size desk and room for a chair, but that's about it. Now since I work in a call center unfortunately all we get to do is sit, get no exercise, and talk to disembodied voices all day long. Which does nothing for your sanity let me tell you. So I decided I would take my counter top aquaponics with me to work to see how it goes. You all may remember my original lonely bean plant that had been sitting above an old coffee can being fed by an airlift...

Well it moved to my desk and for a bit was a nice bright point in the day...

Overall though it was missing something. So being creative I upgraded, or as Duncan would call it, I Pimped it out.

It is now home to three very timid little goldfish and high hope of a string bean and watermelon crop. It does work at a disadvantage compared to the one at home as it has two days in which it is unattended, today was the first one. So wish us luck and we'll see if we can raise something in the most inhospitable of places, the American Call Center.

Now if you guys weren't for the most part a bunch of Aussies I would have said imagine reading this is your best Croc Hunter Voice. But I don't think the joke would have been the same.
In the immortal words of Socrates...I drank what?

Looks like the day of the triffids or jack and the bean stalk are back.

Newsflash: "a number of employees are still missing. Rescue crews stated that as fast as they chopped down the bean stalk it grew back. Police are now evacuating within a mile radius. The Pentagon advised thay may have to nuke it."
