There is money in our backyards !!!!
There is good health in our backyards !!!!
Beans, what a marvellous plant group.
There are so many reasons why we should grow beans.
I plant just one, that's right, just one Blue Lake climbing bean seed at a time and Gail and I have more green beans off that one bush than we can eat. All this past summer we have had a plentiful supply off just three bushes planted 12 weeks apart.......3 seeds.
Isn't that amazing......
Just 3 seeds will save you heaps of money and you will be much healthier.
Did you know that,
In the year to 30 June 2005, Queensland produced 14,792 tonnes of beans worth $42 million on 3,011 ha, that is 44% of Australia's green bean production and 66% of its value (Source: ABS).
Can you suggest any other very efficient plant ?
An interesting little site...based in Vic

Hope my 'Lazy Housewife' beans do as well as yours. Mine are still trailing their way along the string I set up - they are probably about a meter long now - no sign of beans yet. Do they flower first?
