sunrise show on channel 7 has an online petition going to try and get the govt
to reverse the budget decision to means test the solar rebate

If you are inclined and believe that we should/need to be installing domestic solar system

While I can respect means testing tax advantages for non essential luxury items why would any Govt that got elected based largely upon a position that recognised a need for sustainability change kill off solar panel adoption for those who are more likely to be in a position to adopt it?

Bugger that..... give me assistance/incentive to adopt solar and I'll do it tomorrow!!

The Solar Power is not welfare, it is supposed to be about the environment. The rich people (those dirty rotten rich people) need to be encouraged to get onto solar power much more than the poor folks who cannot afford the 3000 dollars they have to pay anyway.

The brilliant minds in Gov now have effectively killed the rollout of home based solar power by their mindless ideology.

If all this stuff we are being fed about global warming is true the Gov should be going all-out to encourage solar on EVERY home, get us off foreign oil dependence, get meaningful public transport.

Why is excellence and achievement put down and penalised ???
