What an incredible group! I have been reading some of the posts for a couple of days to find out as much as possible about aquaponics. We are completely new to this kind of plant growing and have wanted to raise tilapia and shrimp for some time now. Found the group on a Google search.
About us....husband and I live in North Texas, north of Weatherford, west of Ft Worth, south of Decatur.
( To those of you in Australia, this means squat, but to the Texan from Granbury who recently joined.... Howdy from Parker County!)
We raise Buff Orpingtons, Cornish X, Pygmy X, barn cats, a black and white Jackhuahua, and a black LabChow. In our orchard, peaches, apricots, gooseberries, blackberries, blueberries, and wild Scuppernongs. The vegetable garden is trying to hold its own in this heat, but it is slow-going.
We have been interested in growing tilapia and shrimp for a couple of yrs, but needed more info before making a huge investment of time and money.
