    Older equipment

I have a 2nd hand submersible pump and air pump from a Bio-cycle system. I kept them when we connected to the town sewerage back in 2000 and they have been sitting in my mums garage since.

As they have not been in use for so many years - is it likely that the seals and other parts would need replacing? If so would they be worthwhile fixing or do you think it would be better to buy new ones? From memory the pump had been serviced about a year before we disconnected it.

    Hi Craig,

I tend to use older pumps for those tasks that are not critical (in the event that they should fail) like moving water around my various systems.
