I was hopeing to get some feedback as to ideas of how often and how much food to feed your fish. I know there are lots of variables such as size, breed, conditions and types of feed. I would love to get an idea as to what others are doing.

The short answer is , very little.
Just watch what they are doing when you feed them, and any food that is not taken up within about 10 minutes is too much.
As the fish get a little bigger it is best to switch to floating pellets. It is much easier to gauge how much they are taking up when the pellets are floating.
It is very easy to overfeed.
It is not a disaster to overfeed, but it will dirty your water, and just waste food. Roting food will also give off ammonia further compounding imbalance in a new system.
its a topic with many variables, as i have mainly delt with commercial size systems feeding a total of 300 kg plus per feed , this can be varied in a home system witrh 25 fish but All fish food should be smaller than the eye of the species being fed, you should visit other systems to see what they are feeding and the related costs and transport expenses and storage ect'. use food that has very little dust as this dirtys and loads the system, commercial feeds also vary from winter to summer to manage energy levels (don't buy old stock ). try to keep sizes of fish separate until over 80mm length, as dominant fish will not let others feed/grow. ask other growers if they have had deformities in their fish as this is usually a sign of deficiencies. Dont touch the water in another system and go home and touch yours (quarantine can make or break you).
