    Duck-A-Verm-I-Ponics

I've been doing Aquaponics for over two years now and my big system is good and stable. I've re-done the quarantine system into my new 300 gallon system which is almost cycled up so then I went on to put in a Duck system.

A neighbor had an old galvanized stock tank that had holes in need of patching. Well a galvanized tank won't work so well for fish but perhaps it would be ok for a heavily pH buffered duck system.
So now I probably have 300 gallons of shells and gravel in a bed and I topped it up with wood chip mulch and planted with bananas, papayas, pond plants, cannas and other fodder crops for the ducks/chickens.

The ducks don't seem to mind the tea colored water from the wood chips.

To this I have added an old leaky lumber/liner bed filled with wood chips and it is becoming a worm bin. Will see how it all goes. The ducks don't seem to be pooping in the stock tank pond as much as they used to in the liner/hole in the ground pond. They seem to poop on their "dock" more. I might have to do a bit of pee ponics to keep enough nutrients going for the plants.

Awesome. Keep us posted, I would love to add ducks to a system.

I really like that idea, I might try doing it too, with my ducks stock tank
