Is the big one on the bottom (or the right) the same thing as a tilapia? That's what it looks like to me.

Thanks, you are right.
I found some images with names of the big fish on the right. They said is a Tilapia Mosambique or a Parrot Tilapia. The small one with stripes they said is what we called here a Chopa, real name Sunfish.

Hello Lagartijo,
Yes, the fish on the right are most likely Oreochromis mossambicus (Mozambique Tilapia). The fish on the left looks a LOT like young Convict Cichlids (Amatitlania Nigrofasciata) to me. For sure, they are NOT a Lepomis of any kind.

By the way, Convict Cichlids spawn like crazy in aquariums. They'll provide a lot of free feeder fish if you need them.

Hi Kellenw
Can you suggest any way to stop tiny fish getting sucked into filter pump inlets? I have been trying various mesh to box in the pump but fish still seem to get caught in the current and then trapped and killed on the mesh. Any ideas?

Re: What type of fish are this???????? HELP!!!!
Hi Dave,
I would just make a bigger cage. The bigger the cage, the slower the flow at any particular spot. This should help prevent the fry from being sucked up against the cage. I use some 14 mesh (~1400 micron) plastic screen for this purpose. If this still doesn't help, I would suggest going with a lower volume pump.
If you are using a dedicated nursery tank for the fry, you could just forgo the pump entirely and use air powered sponge filters. They are cheap, and work great for fry tanks.

i had the same problem with baby shrimp getting sucked into my inlet tube. i used a perforated bit of sponge used for air bubbler filter. sera l300 .
You can also wrap a piece of sponge around it with cable ties. it acts as a prefilter also, and bacteria colony

if you restrict the flow of your pump too much, you could damage it
