After sending another letter to the main headquarters of the chemical company I got a call about a week ago from the local branch manager that I was disappointed in. He apologized and I accepted graciously. He said he wants to come over some time and see my operation. I said fine but to call ahead as I am in and out.
That is how I would deal with it too! Although I think I would tell him not to bother to visit, as I found a worth while supplier else where.

yeah. same here.. i would even go as far as informing that the effect of their behavior has made you change supplier, AND bring other with you... one thing is losing one client.. the sting lies in losing several ass a ripple effect.... :P
