Hi folks,

I have read about channel catfish in the US and believe they are a superb fish to eat.

I can't quite remember to confirm but the temperature range is similar to tropical fish,is that correct?

And I wonder why we don't seem to have a supply of them in Australia,is it classed a pest or something?

If it is possible I wouldn't mind giving them a try.I Know we have Tandris or whatever the spelling is catfish,but haven't heard much about the channel catfish?

I know with Tilapia they are classed as a pest so it is illegal to farm them in most parts of Australia,they are reported to be a good eating fish as well.
