How is Hydroton in the 8-16 mm range going to do as a grow bed media, will it be ok.

The reason I ask is that I can't seem to find the Canna Aqua Clay locally and nobody seems to stock the 13-20 mm hydroton.

Is anyone using the 8-16 mm and how does it go ?
