    Hi Wey2Go,

Good to see you making such good use of a swimming pool?

Did you know that there are some people who claim that it's not possible to use a swimming pool for aquaponics?

Do you have any growing systems connected to your pool?

Currently no real grow beds only water lilies and a few pots of other plants.
No real water change for the past 3 years. Change of water only when cleaning/flushing bio filters.
Recently installed a Protein Skimmer. Works nicely eventhough I am told it does not work for fresh water (though weather has to be cool or else no foam head is too low). Skimming around 5 - 10 litres per day initially. Now, around 2 litres per day (brown yucky thick liquid).

Will put in grow beds once I have the time to figure out how to setup properly and find some space. Got quote to build retaining wall for slopes behind swimming pool but cost is high. 2 walls (one 19m x 1.8m and another 20m x 0.8m), fill in with scoria and top soil) probably close to 40 cubic metres. Quote came to over $20k including 2 walkways to connect to the area.

    Hi wey2go,

Can you post photos of your protein skimmer arrangement?
