I heard that tilapia are banned in Australia since they are an invasive species and endanger the balance of ecosystem. I've heard of similar problem in Singapura/Singapore where tilapia had invaded the rivers there. From what I've read, they solution was to introduced a different breed of tilapia into the infested river. When different kind of tilapia mated togther, they produce less female fish and more male. This results in a decrease of tilapia population. Perhaps this method could work in other parts of the world or I could be wrong...![]()
