That's certainly a possibility for small plants like micro-greens.

Nola.....if you want, you can set 90 - 100mm pipe up to function a bit like deep water culture.

You can create little weirs out of circular discs (with appropriately sized holes) that fit snugly in place inside your bends and joiners. This ensures that the water is always at a predetermined level in the pipe. In fact, I recall that you can buy a simple tank accessory that would achieve the same result.

If you are mounting the system vertically, you need a weir at the end of each horizontal section of pipe. If you're mounting it horizontally, you only need one at the end of the system.

You place your net pots into the holes that you will have bored at regular intervals.....so that the bottom part of the net pot is actually immersed in the nutrient flow.
