So I have some jade perch in the tanks that were well under the 50mm size they are apparently sold at. Any way they are now about 60-100mm in size and I am wondering how big they will need to be to survive a brisbane winter.
Cheers Nick

Hi Nick,

I kept all of my jades through the last winter with hardly a casualty. They were in a shed.

Keep the feed up to them at the highest possible rate while the weather is warm.......with a view to getting them as big as possible. When the weather cools their appetite will diminish.

Even when they seem willing to eat, exercise restraint otherwise they will get gutshot......the feed inside of them can't be processed by their digestive system and it starts to rot.

Cover your tank at night if at all possible......even better, move them into a shed.
