Does anyone have any ideas on a system with two different size growbeds. I am able to get hold of 2 large ones and 2 smaller ones. I was thinking I could throttle back the water delivery to the smaller ones. I was also going to use standpipes over the drainage outlets. Any input would be helpful.

Hi Charlie,
It is a good idea to have a ball valve on the inlet of each grow bed. This allows you to fine tune the amount of water coming into each grow bed. It really is necessary to have the ball valve or tap on each grow bed anyway. The output from your fish tank pump to your grow beds is not always evenly distributed to each grow bed, because they are varying distances from the pump. So the ball valves are necessary to adjust the flow to each bed.

Different size grow beds can easily worked together by the use of a ball valve or similar as described in my earlier post. I am currently running 585 ltr grow beds and 250 ltr gro beds off the same system. Takes a bit of fiddling with the individual grow bed ball valves but with a little patience, it can be very finely tuned.
