Normally mould ect is caused by humidity

I have found that cucumbers can be a problem in Aquaponics systems. Powdery Mildew can be controlled to a point by spraying with ordinary milk. It won't stop it (mildew)but it will keep it down to a point where you will still get fruit.

Those photos of yours BB the tomato and cucumber is pretty sick, I have not seen it that bad before.

I am spraying at the moment with Eco Rose This is an organic certified product to control mildew. See how it goes on the cucumbers and I will let you all know.
I have only sprayed twice with it so it is a bit early to tell if it works or not.

I had cucumbers and zuccini in the same grow bed - and all the zuccini got mildew real bad - the cucumbers were ok though and gave heaps of cucs. I tried the milk spray but didnt do much. Perhaps I used the wrong sort of milk?

I have tried the "Eco Rose" and it appears to be working well. Interestingly it is made up of potassium bicarbonate which is also very useful in buffering your AP system when the pH has drifted down. At the same time providing some Potassium to the AP system

Hi Murray - I hope it does work - that will be a great addition to the AP mildue options.

I notice that it says its only for Grapes, Roses and Strawberries? http://www.ocp.com.au/EcoroseLabel.pdf

Cant see why it wouldnt work for all plants - but then im no chemist.

Keep us updated on the progress Murray.
