I was reading the rabbit posts and was going to respond. Thanks for all the great posts, BTW. The thread is closed although many of the posts were relatively recent.

How and why are threads closed?

Bad news on the buck front. Dead next door. Heart attack running from dogs, OD'd on buttercup? Who knows.

Plan B is to get a proven 4yo doe already bred, the mother of my younger doe. She may be a bit long in the tooth, but she's a proven mother you can easily foster onto. That leaves older white NZ Miss Personality... Rabbit dinner with the neighbors coming soon. No need for a buck till next year. I'm not interested in pushing anyone to the limit of production. Older folks like us and the chooks and buns get a retirement time. Not forever, but older folks have their benefits and charms beyond production and profit.

At least, I keep saying that. That's my story and I'm sticking to it! :D
