I saw that, what a disaster!
Golden Ponds have them but they are not ready till Late December they think.
Cost $00:01.5c per mm
Plenty of Barra, Bream and Trout ready to go...

I thought they were a lot more expensive than that
Thats only $1.50 for 10cm fish, thats around the same as a normal hatchery.

I dropped in there and got to see Tony, the owner, last night and that's what he said. He is helpfull and friendly. 95241911
I'd ask to talk to him for any thing larger than a couple of goldfish as the junior staff there have not been as knowlegable, in my experience.
I'll be after about 50 silvers in a couple of weeks or if they arent available I'll be after some larger barra.

It just keeps growing.

Silverbeet and Tomato's are the star performers.

Small System with no fish, just Urea and Seasol is doing well.

Silly 6 photo rule
Probably another 5 IBC's here.
http://wa-donaghy.smugmug.com/photos/421818357_CjmBi-L.jpg
Room for 8 more IBC's here.
http://wa-donaghy.smugmug.com/photos/421814872_i948u-L.jpg
The IBC's are filled to 9/10 with bush gravel, a mixture of sand, small rocks and bigger rocks, then topped off with 2 bags of hydroton. 50c coin would be about the biggest rock size. It is free draining, but does not allow heaps of water to go through it, worms have been added to loosen it up a bit.

M8,
You are not planning on moving anytime soon!:)
That Tomato plant is amazing!
The grapes are a great idea.
Are you the first to try them out or have you seen them go good else where?
What pump size do you have to get water up to their IBC's and does it run from the one f/t? What is it's volume and stock level about?
Im guessing you'll put trellace from the faschure to the fence for supporting them?
Thanks for posting.

Other people have grapes, but I have not seen how well they grow, so...
The 4 IBC's are running of a 4500lph Jebao Tornado (65w), when I get the other IBC's in they will all be running off a 12,000lph pump.
The whole system runs off the one tank in the ground. 8000 litre, around 200 fish all up - mostly pretty small. This is all being built in preparation for having a lot of fish, soonish.
I am going to put trellis onto the fence, and support the top with the neighbors veranda battens :D

Oh so E.B. cans and the flannelette from the rag bin is all that is needed?
We hare surrounded by boggans.
I may even be one!?!??!
At least they dont mind a bit of noise or strange structures appearing in our yard ...

Well, it is time for the last 3 trout to come out - I could probably keep them for another couple of weeks, but the longer I keep the water temp low, the more it penalises the silvers and bream.
Once again Gnash was there.

Good reports back from the people eating them too - nice and clean tasting.
Got them late april, and they were not fed properly until september, and had two tank moves as well. I'l get to 1kg next year ;)

just a small dose would be fine, to slow them down - not knock them out.
I'll be using o2 though next time.
