Hi Gary
In a post to Quietly last year you gave a link to an article explaining fish "flashing".

You'll find a good explanation of what "flashing" is about......here.

I tried it but the link seems to have gone.
Have you any other source of info about this?
Thanks

Hi Kim,

Fish often "flash" for the same reason that we scratch.....because something is irritating us.

Often they will scrape along the tank, pumps or pipework to rid themselves of parasites. The disease ICH will cause fish to engage in this behaviour.

Changes in pH, temperature changes or bacterial infections can also lead to flashing.

The "flash" occurs when the fish twists and reveals its silvery underside.
