I have just finished putting up the pages on Gary's website announcing his new book, The Urban Aquaponics Manual.

It has 88 colour photos and 17 illustrations as well as loads of very informative information.

A really excellent book on the subject, a must read for every new and experienced aquaponics person.

Hi,

It's been just over a week since my new publication The Urban Aquaponics Manual quietly entered the marketplace.

The only word that I can find to describe the reaction to the book is "incredible".

We clocked up our first overseas sale within just three days.

I'd like to extend a special thanks to Gail and Murray Hallam for their invaluable assistance.

Hi Mudguts,

I'm delighted that the Manual meets your expectations.....and that you've joined the forum.

A person who frequents this forum and is a little shy about asking questions on the forum, emailed me and asked about Fish tank to grow bed ratio.
I felt that it would be useful for others to post a short answer here.

I recommend a ratio by volume of 1:1 although it is very possible to go to 1 Fish tank volume to 2 grow bed volume. There are lots of variables that can affect this, but it is very safe and manageable to start out at 1:1

The Urban Aquaponics Manual has a very good chapter on this very topic, on Page 47,48. The Urban Aquaponics Manual can be found here (http://www.aquaponics.net.au/prod5.htm) or here (http://www.urbanaquaponics.com.au/products.html)
