Scroll down in the "Reply to Thread" Dialogue box until you see "Manage Atachments" Select it and then Click on "Add Files" up to the RHS at Top, and away you go.

Don't know what Max size is but use 800x600 pixels as a start for JPG pictures.

Hi Chainsaw,

I'n no fish vet but they look like they could be 'gut shot'......the consequence of very heaving feeding which has outstripped the ability of the fish to metabolize its food quickly enough. In effect, the food goes off inside the fish before they can digest it properly.

Jades are gluttons and will eat more than is good for them given half a chance.

Usually, the condition that I've described occurs in colder weather......so it might be something completely different.

Are you feeding very heavily at the moment?

Pass your photos around the local aquarium shops.......they may have something more to contribute.

Thanks Gary, Was only feeding about 3 tablespoons morning and night of .8 then went onto 2-3mm. Will stop feeding for a week see how they go.

Hi Chainsaw,

While we're trying to conclusively identify the problem, I'd suggest that you also salt your system at the rate of 1 - 2 parts per thousand.......if you haven't already done so.

Even if it does nothing to resolve the problem, it will act as a bit of tonic for the fish.

Thanks Gary, have already taken quarantine tank offline and salted to 10ppt. Will just have to monitor each day and do watwer changes as necessary. Have also lowered Ph to about 6.8. Dont like the chances of these few surviving. Still have some in another tank online and SPs in another tank. Only had problem with Jades and a couple of sleepy cod. Rest of system is salted to 3ppt. The sleepy cod jumped out of the tank when I bought it home, hit its head on the side of some tin and has progresively got worse. Here is a photo, but today I put them both down, no good letting them suffer.
