Mental note - Cast iron bath tubs get very hot & yes.. we know it's PINK!!! but we do have 2 young girls who have final say over colour co-ordination...

bobcat has been and gone now have two new pads for water tanks. first load of palms that i cut down has gone to the green waste tip also today. still waiting for the dingo to come and drill some holes for posts so i can put up some more shade cloth. bottom bath got to 34 deg yesterday and thats with a tarp over both of them.
also lost 1 gold fish to local wild life.... didnt know we had a kookie in the area but do now. stick is in the bath so that the pidgen can get out when he falls in next time....lol dont know how was more shocked him or the girls.

hi drewb
I also have/had a heat issue with bath tubs
I have hung shadecloth around the baths to provide a bit more shade to the side of the baths
also my baths/GB's are filled with media all the way to the top/almost
the theory is that less bath is exposed to the sun
Also I think that my increased water volume is helping with temp stability
perhaps getting another bath and burying it would help
