Kind of curious if there is anything that a human can eat but a Silver Perch must not eat (food for man but poison for fish)?
The Silver Perch I have seem to happily eat the following:
- pieces of vegetables (lettuce, cabbage, brocolli, Bak Choy, etc)
- pieces of fruits (kiwi fruit incl peel, peaches, bananas incl banana peel, etc)
- water snails
- flower petals (various incl rose, peach)
- bread
- rice

Honeysuckle, apparently.
"Saponins in Japanese honeysuckle are much more toxic to some creatures, such as fish, and hunting tribes have traditionally put large quantities of them in streams, lakes etc. in order to stupefy or kill the fish."

With the rice do you have to soak it first?
What about capsicums?

Rice is "boiled" rice, which is usually left overs from our meals. We eat boiled/steam rice almost everyday.
Everything else I tried are just fresh off-cuts from daily preparation of vegetables and fruits from preparing our meals.
Also, good use of end bits of vegetables from our own vegetable patch (including my neighbour's).

Adding to the list:
- Capsicum
- Mushroom
- Apple (will eat but do not like Apple that much)
- Chinese Brocolli (Kai Lan)
