Nice little DIY system, looks very effecient. Light is nice touch.
Any plans to expand ? Since it looks like the plants seem to have taken to the system quite well.

Thanks for your kind words! Yes I would love to expand. I'm trying to figure out if I can build a passive solar green house that I wouldn't have to pay to heat. We just got 2 feet of snow on the ground so I don't know if that will be possible.

I have been researching "CHEAP" methods of Greenshouse construction.
Found the cheapest is the PVC. A wood bottom frame, some screws, stakes, and the Plastic sheet ... course the PVC. REMEMBER the PVC and Plastic have a chemical reaction and cause the plastic to break down. Painting the PVC will help.
Gallon jugs painted black with water, stting in daytime sun releasing it at night / add compost floor - BAM.
My neighbor is heating with Compost - says it hasnt gotten below 59 F despite it being n the 20's for 3 days. His daytime temps he claims hover around 67-69. You could try it to see if the jugs and compost together are enough to cut the drastic temp changes your having. Also his wife is shorter than him , the extra thickenss on the floor helps her to reach the taller plants - LOL. All summer long he has been tossing clippings, and such, its close to 8" thick Id say.
The long link below will tell you based on size how much PVC to make your arch.
