Treatment of wild feeder fish

I'm looking at supplementing my trout's diet with a few small fish from a local brook. Would you guy's recommend that I treat them in a salted tank for a few days first to clear any wild diseases / parasites or is this a waist of time? Alternatively am I taking too much risk using wild feeders at all?

Trout is plural as well as singular. No 's' on the end, if it is meant to be possesive, then put an ' before the S.
Same as Metre and millimetre!
It's the same as saying "Sheeps" or "Cods".
Having a wine or 2!!

Ok thans for the correction. So what about the feeder fishieses though?

Feed 'em what they enjoy. One of my rug rats only enjoyed fish fingers and mystery bags! Yet he is now 6' 7"!!
If your fish don't like it , they will soon let you know!
I'm no judge yet, I still haven't got an operating system. So take no notice of me.

I'd salt the guys before adding any wild fish to your system. If you can try and get them from a fish breeder. You can get feeder fish cheap online.

Well so far so good. The trout go mad over the fish. I put them in salted water for at least 3 days first and so far no deaths in either the trout or the feeder fish (well except for the ones that the trout eat)

Don't appear to be able to order fish from online to deliver to WA so will have to stay with catching my own.
